‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Reference to ‘Butt Clamps’ Shocked This ‘Battleship’ Star
by Aida Ekberg
Fifty Shades of Grey proved to be too shocking for one star of the movie Battleship. So did Rihanna find the book a little too raunchy for her liking?
Unsurprisingly, the sexy singer known for wearing skimpy outfits, giving lap dances onstage, and singing about whips and chains isn’t the celeb that couldn’t finish reading the erotic novel. In fact, she’d probably be a fan of it, judging from her song “S&M.” But model/actress Brooklyn Decker’s tennis star hubby Andy Roddick better not be hoping to use any kind of really kinky sex toys in the bedroom anytime soon.
According to Brooklyn, she was surprised to be asked for her I.D. when purchasing Fifty Shades of Grey in an airport bookstore. However, after reading part of the raunchy novel, she understood why no one under 18 was allowed to buy it.
Brooklyn Decker might be used to stripping down and posing proactively, but the sex in the book proved to be too much for her. According to Contact Music, here’s what she said about her attempt to read it:
“It’s really inappropriate… She (James) talks about butt clamps… I haven’t finished it yet. I can’t continue.”
Since she couldn’t finish the book, perhaps she should have handed it over to one of her Battleship costars—Rihanna could use it for song inspiration, and Taylor Kitsch probably needs to read it since he’s one of the names that often come up on lists of who should play Christian Grey, the BDSM-practicing billionaire who seduces a college student. Brooklyn Decker is young enough to play college student Anastasia Steele, but judging from her reaction to the book, the 25-year-old won’t be auditioning for the part.
So have you tried reading Fifty Shades of Grey only to find that you couldn’t finish it?
